Knife Crime Awareness Discussion

Suzanne from Northumbria Police came to our class today to discuss knife crime. We talked about the laws and statistics surrounding knife crime.

Newcastle University

Year 6 visited Newcastle University this week to think about how learning another language is beneficial. The students who are currently on various language course inspired our children to keep up their love of learning a different language. We also toured the university to explore its interesting buildings.

Design and Technology

The children in Year 6 have been designing and making their own mobile phone case. We have discovered all about the design process and the importance of having a target market. To make a unique case they though about using the correct design criteria.

Art

This week Year 6 were very lucky to have a local artist teach their art lesson. The children were encouraged to create a surrealistic picture using the medium of collage.
